A lovely Aussie bikkie treat, quite similar to the ANZAC biscuit, but without the oats.
What you need…
- 2 tablespoons of butter- softened
- 1 cup of Sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of golden syrup
- 1 teaspoon Golden Syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon bi-carn soda
- 1 1/2 cups plain flour
- 3/4 a cup coconut
- 1 tablespoon of milk
How you do it…
- Pre heat the oven to 180 C
- In a large mixing bowl cream together the butter and sugar using a wooden spoon.
- Add the egg, vanilla and golden syrup and continue to cream them.
- Once well mixed, add the cream of tartar, bi carb, flour and coconut, mix together
- Add in the milk and give one good last mix
- Roll into balls (size to your choosing, how big do you want your bikkies???) and place on a lined baking tray.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
